Abstract :
Compilation des trois premiers épisodes sur six, d'une série infographique sur l'évolution des dinosaures. Épisode 1 : UNE NOUVELLE DYNASTIE. Il y a deux cent vingt millions d'années, un monde d'extraordinaires créatures lutte pour survivre à la saison sèche dans une vallée fluviale : d'énormes placerias broutent l'herbe des prairies, tandis que les premiers mammifères fouisseurs élèvent leurs petits. Agiles et agressifs, les jeunes coelophysis apprennent à chasser en bande et à repousser un gigantesque prédateur, le postosuchus. Épisode 2 : L'ÈRE DES GÉANTS. Récit de l'épopée d'un diplodocus, il y a cent cinquante deux millions d'années. À la naissance, une jeune femelle échappe de peu à une violente attaque d'allosaure. Une fois atteint son poids adulte de vingt-cinq tonnes, elle trouvera à douze ans son premier partenaire, et la vie poursuivra son cycle. Épisode 3. MERS CRUELLES. Par milliers des femelles ophtalmosaurus se rassemblent il y a cent quarante-neuf millions d'années dans des eaux coraliennes, peu profondes, pour donner naissance aux petits. Ceux-ci devront se débrouiller seuls et survivre à différents prédateurs, toujours sur le qui-vive, comme le liopleurodon, le plus grand carnivore de tous les temps.
