 How to insert these widgets?

          5.11. Style templates
5.11.3. Modify current style template (expert mode)

This function is available in expert mode only, and modifies current structure template properties. It can be used from the "Templates/Structures/Modify..." menu or when clicking on the "Modify page structure" button in the "Operations" tab of left side toolbar. It opens a dialog box with a list of CSS style classes (figure 4.29).

To export the current style sheet into a CSS file (*.css), use the "Export list" button.

To import another CSS style sheet, use the "Import list" button. If imported items have the same name as existing ones, the imported values will overwrite the previous ones, so you should have eliminated them from the imported CSS file before importing unless you wish them.

To create a new item, click on the "Add" button : this item will then appear with a blue background in the template, and will be able to be suppressed with the "Remove" button.

To modify an element, select it and click on the "Modify" button, (or double click on the element, on the left column).

This opens another dialog box (figure 4.30), containing a mini text editor which lets you type the CSS specifications of the chosen element. Each rule must be terminated by a semicolon (if you forget it, WIT will add it).

  • The "Help on CSS" button opens the user manual at the CSS chapter.
  • The "Insert a RGB color" inserts a color specification (Red, Green, Blue) from the Windows color selector, and copies the text at the editor insertion point.
  • The "Insert a URL (image)" inserts an image (for instance as a background). The image is copied in the "extra" subfolder of your current WIT project.

Following pages explain how the style template is organized, and how to use CSS specifications.
