WIT does not systematically rebuild the TOC and the index whenever there's a change : it would take too much time for important sites.

However, the TOC and the index are rebuilt in three cases :

- when the document is loaded,

- when the website is built,

- when the update is forced.

To force the update, open the structure template, activate the "Table of contents" or "Index" tab and close the dialog : thne TOC and the index are rebuilt.

Moreover, do not make a confusion between site building (Ctrl + E key) where the whole site is built in a folder that you specify, and the page preview where only the selected ideas are previewed from files that are generated in a temporary directory.
