5.6.1. Import ideas (XML)

This function imports XML data from the excellent TreePad^tm software and rebuilds an idea tree, similar to the TreePad articles and nodes.

For this, you first need to prepare an XML file from TreePad (export data from TreePad) :

In TreePad main view, select the node or article you want to export.
Right click on it to show the popup menu and choose "Export sub tree / to files"
Selection the option : "Export to one file"
Choose the option : "One XML file"
Choose the options "Treepad XML file" and "Export rich text articles as HTML" for the text export.
Let the options checked : "Include articles" and "Include nodes"
This produces an XML file that you can then import into WIT.
