6.4.2.3. background-image property

background-image

This properties displays a background image (GIF or JPEG format). It accepts one value, an URL :

background-image:url(icons/back.jgp); /* see note 1 below */
background-image:url(../extra/extra-image.jgp); /* see note 2 below */

Note 1 : if you use such an url (with icons leading directory), the image file (back.jpg) should be used by at least one idea (idea properties : links tab, images section) in order to be correctly copied in the automatically generated icons directory of web site.

Note 2 : if you use such an url (referencing to parent directory of current generated html pages directory (text)), you have to store the image file (extra-image.jpg) in the "extra" sub directory of your current document directory.
